Buy Local Season and 2017 Limited Edition Plush
On November 15, 2017 by fluffmongerToday marks the start of Buy Local Season here in the Triad of North Carolina, and Falafel the Llama, Griswold the Sheep, and Baxter the Horse have returned as the faces of Triad Local First‘s Buy Local Season campaign! For the past seven years, TLF has been hosting Buy Local Season to encourage local shopping throughout the holiday season. Posters with Falafel, Griswold, and Baxter will be popping up all over the Triad to remind shoppers to support local business!
The limited edition plush for 2016’s Buy Local Season sold out quickly last year. Griswold the Sheep sold within seconds of being listed on Etsy! In order to allow people more time to purchase the limited edition plush this year, I’ll be hosting an auction for them on Facebook. The auction will begin at 8 p.m. EST on Black Friday, November 24, and will end at 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday, November 29. There’s only one of each, so be sure to mark your calendar for the auction times and follow Fluffmonger on Facebook! (See bottom of post for details and auction rules.)
Falafel, Baxter, and Griswold are made with:
- hand-dyed organic cotton and hemp fabrics
- organic cotton and rPET thread
- organic cotton ribbon
- organic buckwheat hull stuffing
These particular plush items are intended as collectibles and may not be suitable for small children due to small parts with handstitched features. (For plush intended for all ages, see my Etsy shop.)

Auction for limited edition 2017 Buy Local Season plush will begin at 8 p.m. EST on Black Friday, November 24, and will end at 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday, November 29. A photo of each plush animal will be posted to Fluffmonger’s Facebook page at 8 p.m. on November 29, and bids will be posted as comments on the individual photos.

RULES:
- You must be at least 18 years of age and have your privacy settings adjusted where everyone can view your bid.
- Bidding is made by posting a comment in the comment section of the photo you are bidding on.
- Minimum bid increase of $5 USD.
- Payment required within 24 hours. Free domestic shipping. Local pick-up available for buyers in the Greensboro, NC, area. International buyers are responsible for shipping costs, taxes, etc. Items shipped internationally will ship Priority Mail International (upgrades available).
- All bids are final. Deleting your bid comments is against the rules.
